This exceptional specimen features a stunning scalenohedral (“dogtooth”) calcite crystal, fully coated in a delicate druzy layer of quartz. In some areas, the underlying Calcite has partially dissolved, leaving hollow casts that beautifully preserve the original crystal form. The combination of sharp crystal morphology, sparkling quartz coating, and natural hollowing makes this piece both striking and mineralogically unique.
This is a large piece that does not self stand, will ship with plastic stand for easy display.
This piece has a small repair to the chalcedony crust on the left side. The calcite is fully intact and has not been repaired.
