A stunning calcite specimen from Jalgaon District, India, featuring calcite crystals coated in chalcedony, set on a dark navy blue quartz matrix. The chalcedony forms a thin, microcrystalline silica layer over the calcite, giving the crystals a slightly softened, translucent appearance in contrast to the deeper-toned quartz beneath. Minor damage is present to the chalcedony coating along the lower portion of the specimen, while the overall structure and aesthetic remain well preserved.
