This is an intricate specimen featuring calcite crystals completely enveloped in a secondary growth of white chalcedony. The chalcedony has developed in fine, radiating “spray” formations reminiscent of aragonite, giving the piece a delicate, sculptural appearance. A small natural window reveals the transparent calcite beneath, offering a rare glimpse into the mineral’s original form prior to silicification.
